Oscillators and octopi

Read all about Wendy Carlos' magnificent Circon. You can hear it on the score to Kubrick's The Shining.

Then there's the Trautonium, one of the first analog synthesizers.

Here's a little video on how analog synthesizers and oscillators work. I still don't completely get it, but it's quite interesting.

If anyone knows how to read the schematics, you can build yourself a theremin. Make me one, too, if you have time.
